Remote Certified Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
We are seeking experienced Certified Pharmacy Technicians to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be reviewing Prior Authorizations for a Pharmacy
Services department within a large healthcare insurance company. You will be responsible for approving or denying prior authorizations and forwarding them
to a pharmacist for final review.
Responsibilities
Handling all health plans and all types of medications.Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejections and conducting member and physician outreach.Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues.Escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or direction on processing.Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls.Requirements
Nationally Certified Technician (Preferred)Pharmacy State RegistrationHigh School diploma or GED.Strong computer skillsSkills
Experience with prior authorization processes.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.Experience in call centers, PBM, hospital, or specialty pharmacy settings.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
