Remote Pharmacy Technician
Job Title: Remote Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in processing prescription exceptions, which may include resolving claim rejects and conducting member and physician outreach. You will enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system and research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues. You will escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a Pharmacist for interpretation and provide direction on processing. Additionally, you will assist with inbound and outbound patient or physician calls and perform other duties as assigned.

ResponsibilitiesReview Prior Authorizations for determination and either approve or deny them before sending to a Pharmacist for final review.Handle all health plans and types of medications.Manage phone calls from members, specifically inbound calls.Essential SkillsHigh School diploma.Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by state of operation.Basic computer skills.Experience with insurance pharmacy, PBM, or hospital settings.Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred Nationally Certified Technician and registered pharmacy technician in the state they reside.Strong computer skills.

Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
