Job Description
We are seeking Pharmacy Technicians to join our Med/Pharma department. This role focuses on Medical Authorizations rather than traditional CDPA review or prescription authorizations. Technicians will manage inbound faxes from truecare platforms, conduct data entry, and build authorizations within the system. This position primarily involves data entry with occasional phone calls to doctors for clarification.
ResponsibilitiesLog into two main platforms to receive inbound faxes from truecare.Review inbound faxes and perform data entry to build authorizations in the truecare platform.Enter details such as doctor's information, drug specifics, and request type (standard or expedited).Fill out premade templates in Word for drugs that do not require authorization and fax them back to the doctor.Ensure fast communication and efficient authorization building in the system.Essential SkillsCustomer service skills.Prior authorization and insurance knowledge.Strong data entry abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Outlook.Quality auditing and intake experience.Possession of a Pharmacy Technician License.Additional Skills & QualificationsRegistered and Certified Pharmacy Technician.Strong computer skills with attention to detail.Ability to adapt and work independently.Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail, payor, or hospital pharmacy.Experience with managed care or prior authorization is a plus.Detail-oriented and accustomed to tight turnaround times.Work Environment
This role is 100% remote, requiring a quiet and closed-door setting with strong wifi. Work hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm in your time zone, with rotating weekends every 4-6 weeks, and potential holiday shifts. Training is 2 weeks long, Monday to Friday from 10am to 6:30pm in your time zone.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
