(REMOTE) Patient Services Representative
Job Title: Patient Services RepresentativeJob Description Join our team as a Patient Services Representative, where you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service to patients and visitors. You will manage a high volume of inbound calls, scheduling appointments and ensuring effective communication between patients and clinical team members. Responsibilities + Provide quality customer service to patients and visitors courteously and promptly. + Receive and handle over 70 calls per day to schedule various types of appointments. + Maintain knowledge of individual physicians’ scheduling requirements and preferences. + Collect pertinent details and communicate effectively to create concise tasks for clinical team members. + Apply Patient Experience Tenants to achieve one-call resolution through expert scheduling capabilities. + Research and troubleshoot scheduling and operational challenges, reporting issues to the leadership team. + Participate in weekly huddles and team meetings for updates and refreshers on processes and systems. + Provide patient support and respond to requests for information in a courteous and timely manner. Essential Skills + Customer service skills + Patient service experience + Call center experience + Inbound call handling + Data entry proficiency + Microsoft Office proficiency + Medical terminology knowledge + Strong phone etiquette + Empathy in healthcare + Reliability + Computer literacy + Multi-tasking abilities in systems and multiple markets + Experience with Epic, EMR, EHR, Salesforce.com + Patient scheduling + Knowledge of Medicare and healthcare industry + Insurance knowledge Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent experience + Must be 18 years of age or older + 1+ year of call center phone experience + 2+ years of experience in a medical practice environment preferred + 2+ years of call center phone experience preferred + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) preferred + Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday between 8:00am – 6:00pm EST Why Work Here? Work Environment Work from the comfort of your home in a remote call center environment. Training is comprehensive, lasting 3-4 weeks, and includes an overview of systems and processes. Be prepared to be on camera and present during training sessions. Must have remote capabilities and high-speed internet to work from home, along with a cord to hardwire into the internet. The position requires full-time availability Monday through Friday, with potential overtime or weekend work based on business needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Phoenix, Arizona. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
