Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced Microsoft Copilot Studio - AI Expert with deep expertise in Copilot Studio, Teams, SharePoint, and Power Platform. The successful candidate will work within an Agile ITIL environment helping unlock the value of these emerging tools and is passionate about productivity, AI, and staying at the forefront of Microsoft’s rapidly evolving modern workplace ecosystem. The candidate will be a member of the ECIS M365 Engineering Team providing Subject Matter Expert support for Copilot Studio and AI services. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role working directly with departments to streamline work through automation and championing the adoption of Microsoft’s AI features. This role requires a combination of strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for driving customer success. Design RAG-based solutions to integrate Microsoft Copilot Studio with M365 services such as Dataverse and Power Automate. Build and customize Copilot agents for company-specific use cases like automated document management and data analysis in M365 and Power Platform applications. Configure Semantic Index for context-sensitive search enrichment and design conversational flows, intents, and entities. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into Copilot capabilities and implement governance best practices. Design, build, and deploy AI Builder models for form processing, prediction, object detection, and classification within Power Platform applications. Manage the full AI model lifecycle, including data preparation, labeling, training, evaluation, and retraining to ensure accuracy and alignment with business objectives. Implement security and compliance checks in line with Microsoft Responsible AI principles using Microsoft Purview. Troubleshoot and optimize bot performance and user engagement. Understand business requirements and develop functional and technical specifications. Support development, deployment, and execution of M365 Power Platform services and create roadmaps and service strategies. Develop Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps to streamline processes and enhance user experiences. Implement data integrations using Power Automate and Dataverse. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and project teams, share knowledge, and foster innovation. Prepare engineering documentation including Visio diagrams, as-built documents, solution recommendations, run books, and knowledge guides. Work independently, adapt to changing requirements, and guide the team when necessary. Participate in Agile Scrum sprints and ceremonies. Stay current on emerging technologies and provide recommendations to management. Compensation: $65/hr to $75/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements BS degree with 12–15 years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 10–13 years. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or higher clearance. Expertise in Microsoft Copilot Studio, conversational AI design, and UX principles for chatbots. Hands-on experience with adaptive cards, Power Virtual Agents, workflows, custom connectors, and API integrations. Proven GenAI development experience (Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI), strong knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic AI. Familiarity with AI governance, compliance, and digital transformation. Deep experience with AI Builder in Power Platform—model development for form processing, prediction, object detection, and classification, including full lifecycle (data prep, labeling, training, evaluation, retraining). Proficiency in Power Apps (Canvas/Model-driven), Power Automate, M365, and SharePoint integrations. Strong problem-solving, Agile team experience, and excellent communication/documentation skills. Previous experience with DevOps methodologies and large-scale environments (10,000+ users). Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Exposure to change management methodologies or organizational adoption frameworks. Understanding of agency Capstone and NARA data retention compliance principles. Knowledge of Power BI for reporting and dashboards. Experience with RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism) as an added advantage. Experience with change control principals and ticket with Service Now (SNOW). Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL-100, PL-200, MS-900).
