REMOTE Data Scientist
Job Description The candidate will be supporting E&I USP Data & Analytics strategy around fraud transformation, improving operational efficiencies, affordability gaps etc., and will also be supporting enterprise program for retail like experience from a Payment Integrity standpoint helping reimagine how we identify healthcare fraud, waste and abuse, and how we make some of these more real time. As a part of the role, candidate will be responsible to interact with business partners to understand problem statement, drive data science pilots and projects in line with business problems and generate actionable insights and partner with IT for data requirements. The team you will be working with comprises of 3-4 data analysts/scientists working alongside the project manager. Top responsibilities for this position • Understand business requirements and convert into analytical solution • Work closely with a lead-data scientist and help improve business processes leveraging data science tools & techniques • Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns • Develop data science algorithms & generate actionable insights as per business needs • Work closely with cross capability teams throughout solution development lifecycle from design to implementation & monitoring • Manage day to day leadership and stakeholder communication including development plan • Document work appropriately for production support and transition readiness • Should be able to manage solution design, delivery & communication for an assigned business engagement We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements • 6-8 years hands on experience of solving real world business problems leveraging data science tools • Must have sound knowledge of tabular data handling & manipulation • Good understanding of SQL along with exposure to at least one statistical programming language R/Python • Proficient in MS Office tools as Excel/PowerPoint/Access • Understanding & experience of Bigdata techniques such as HDFS, Hive, Spark, MAPRDB etc. • Working experience of statistical techniques (like linear regression, logistic regression, time series analysis, clustering, and decision trees) and machine learning techniques • Working experience cloud native technologies such as Databricks, Azure ML, Google Vertex AI etc. • Working knowledge of prompt engineering and fine-tuning large language model and working on Agentic AI framework. • Prior experience on US Healthcare Domain is good to have
