Together for better. **About the Role:** The Retail Relief Staffing Officer manages a staffing pool for the retail banking branch network. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, on-boarding, scheduling, coaching, and development of Client Service Specialist float pool employees for a specified geographic region. + Interview, hire, onboard, and maintain adequate staffing levels for the retail relief staff in a specific market. + Create and manage the schedule for relief staff, prioritizing requests by greatest need + Proactively work with Retail Leadership (and some departments) to anticipate and fulfill their needs. + Actively manage, coach, and mentor staff. + Train staff and model the bank’s Breakthrough Client Service Standards for interactions with external and internal clients. + Build and maintain relationships with branch and retail leadership. + Identify and develop mentor branches within the assigned market that will provide onsite training and mentoring. + Travel to various hubs within the specified market to interview candidates, coach current associates, or for other business purposes. + Attending retail meetings as appropriate to build relationships and educate on the relief staffing services, how to request them, and expectations around utilizing a CSS Float + Track and report all new hires, transfers, terminations, and float turnover ratios. + Partner with HR regarding employment issues, coaching opportunities, disciplinary actions, and terminations. + Direct and promote a continuous learning environment. + Manage time and attendance systems for accurate billing to departments and branches, over and short reports, operational tasks, conducting performance reviews, approving employee expense reports, coordinating and approving transfer requests, and other items as appropriate. + Act as backup to other Relief Staff Officers as needed. + Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. + Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training. + Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description. + May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert. + Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words. + Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate. + Embraces our vision to become “Business Bank of Choice” + May perform other duties as assigned. **About You:** + H.S Diploma/GED Required. + Bachelor’s Degree Preferred. + 4+ Years of experience in Retail Branch Banking Required + 2+ Years of experience in Management Preferred. + Extensive knowledge of banking products and services with demonstrated business acumen that enables solving consumer and small business banking challenges. + Exceptional client service skills. + Knowledge of wage and hour laws in assigned geographic area. + Proven training and mentoring skills with desire to help others develop and grow. + Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with written numbers, words, and verbal and written instructions. + Proficient use of spreadsheets and other banking computer systems and related software, and ability to operate a variety of office equipment and to perform repetitive movements for tasks such as counting cash, typing, and handling documents. + Ability to think critically to anticipate downstream impacts of decisions. + Knowledge of bank operating procedures, practices and policies. + Ability to operate independently **Job Location(s):** Ability to work fully onsite at posted location(s). The pay range for this role is $77,968.80 to $80,000, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
