Relief Mastectomy Fitter
**Employment Type:** Part time **Shift:** **Description:** **Summary:** Conducts post-surgical consultations for cancer patients, including assessments, measurements, and fittings for camisoles, bras, breast forms/shapers, and compression garments. Maintains current knowledge of products, insurance coverage, and complex billing rules of durable medical equipment (DME). Prepares documentation required for the medical record, billing, and insurance reimbursement. Responsible for inventory management, product displays, and sales transactions. **Education** Minimum High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred College level coursework. Credentials/Licensure Preferred: Mastectomy Fitter Certification from The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics. or Board of Certification/Accreditation Related Experience Minimum: Five years of experience in a healthcare setting. Two years of retails sale experience. Preferred: Certified Mastectomy Fitter. Strong understanding of medical terminology and basic anatomy. Familiarity with medical insurance eligibility and coverage. Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Minimum: Strong knowledge of DME, bras, and breast surgery outcomes. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent supportive listening skills. Comfort, compassion, and patience working with patients in a various stages of cancer treatment. Strong organizational skills. Computer Competency Familiarity with standard desktop and windows-based computer system, including email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation. Experience using electronic medical records. Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions such as scanner, copier, and fax. Physical/Mental Minimum: Ability to stand, reach, twist, bend, crouch and squat.
