Reliability & Maintainability Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Reliability & Maintainability Engineer with advanced degrees in engineering and a strong expertise in reliability analysis. This role involves working on spaceflight, aerospace, or military programs, with a focus on launch vehicles, spacecraft, or other aerospace systems. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in electronics or Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS) and the ability to creatively assess potential system failures.

ResponsibilitiesConduct reliability analysis for spaceflight and aerospace projects.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the development of hardware for complex mechanical systems.Perform Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) and Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).Develop and maintain Critical Items Lists (CIL).Communicate complex engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders and customers.Innovate solutions and motivate team members to think creatively about system vulnerabilities.Essential SkillsAdvanced degree in engineering, physics, statistics, or math.Experience in reliability analysis within aerospace or military programs.Proficiency in physics, statistics, and probability theory.Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.Practical experience in hardware development for complex mechanical systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsBackground in electronics or ECLSS.Experience with space and aerospace systems.Professional experience in engineering roles such as manufacturing, integration, reliability, technical program management, or operations.Work Environment

This position is based in a secure facility, offering the opportunity to work on products designed to maintain life during space missions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
