**Reliability Engineer – CBRE Technical & Engineering Services**
**Location:** Houston, TX
**Division:** Mission Critical Services – Infrastructure & Energy
**About the Role:**
As a **CBRE Reliability Engineer** , you will lead the development and execution of a forward-thinking reliability program focused on **Condition Based Maintenance (CBM)** and **predictive technologies** . Your mission is to drive innovation in asset management, increase equipment uptime, and reduce operational costs across mission-critical systems.
This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, supporting preventive and predictive maintenance, technical troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Design and implement CBM strategies** using sensor data, analytics, and predictive modeling to optimize maintenance schedules and reduce unplanned downtime.
+ Develop and refine asset maintenance plans based on real-time condition monitoring and historical performance data.
+ Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to evaluate asset health and identify opportunities for reliability improvement.
+ Lead the integration of **innovative technologies** such as vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasonic testing, and AI-driven diagnostics.
+ Create and manage risk mitigation plans addressing reliability-related and operational risks.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues using advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies.
+ Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance schedules, system configurations, and technical reference materials.
+ Provide technical mentorship and share expertise across teams to foster a culture of reliability and innovation.
+ Influence cross-functional teams by presenting data-driven insights and building consensus around reliability initiatives.
**Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of relevant experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
+ Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
+ Strong understanding of CBM principles, reliability engineering, and predictive maintenance technologies.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
+ Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a proactive, inquisitive mindset.
+ Advanced math skills for calculating reliability metrics, cost savings, and performance indicators.
