Reporting to Planning and Reliability Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing support to maintenance and operations by developing and improving the equipment maintenance strategies, socializing the reliability principles and maintaining the recurrent failure management process.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Coordinate with planners to develop work schedule logic and timely work order release.
Review equipment strategies according to frequency agreed with Cross Functional Team
Permanently monitor and audit equipment performance strategies and correct deviations as needed
Work with Planners to rationalize and improve the process preventative maintenance tasks
Maintain currency with best practice in maintenance and reliability methodologies
Manage the process to identify recurrent process equipment failures
Facilitate and/or participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations into equipment failures
Facilitate development of plans and monitor activities to eliminate process equipment failures.
Develop, implement and maintain safe work procedures and promote high safety and health awareness.
Ensure appropriate facilities, procedures and workforce competence to achieve legal compliance, incident prevention and the achievement of tasks in an environmentally sustainable manner.
Ensure the development and maintenance of up-to-date job procedures for all tasks performed within the function.
Develop objectives for sharing common infrastructure and support services across Barrick and cascade this throughout function.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in fixed plant facilities, preferably in maintenance
Experience in large multi pit operations utilizing large-scale mining equipment.Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia.Previous experience with RCM, FMEA, MTA or other appropriate equipment strategy methodologyMust be Familiar with predictive maintenance techniques such as oil analysis, vibration analysis, NDT, thermography, health monitoring etc.Understanding of database management and reports development (SSRS or Crystal).What We Can Offer You:
