STS Technical Services is hiring a Reliability Engineer in Westminster, Colorado.
Position SummaryOur client is seeking to add a Reliability Engineer to their manufacturing team. Key projects will include Linux-based single-board computers and high-reliability microcontroller systems.
As a member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting software and hardware designs from concept through production. This includes developing product roadmaps, block diagrams, detailed design reviews, coding and testing support, qualification activities, and in-orbit sustainment. The ideal candidate will have experience at multiple levels of the software stack and strong expertise in high-reliability systems. A background in aerospace applications, software testing, and reliability-focused engineering practices is highly desirable.
Responsibilities Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems, from requirements to production and commercial deployment Design, develop, code, test, debug, and document system software Review code and system designs for compliance and efficiency Analyze code for scalability, stability, and long-term performance Integrate and validate new product designs in collaboration with hardware teams Support software quality assurance and optimize I/O performance Provide post-production and in-orbit customer support Interface with hardware design and development engineers to identify and resolve reliability risks Assess third-party and open-source software for reliability and suitability Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering Minimum of 10 years of industry experience in software development or reliability engineering Hands-on development and troubleshooting experience with embedded hardware API design experience for FPGA interfacing Aerospace product development experience strongly preferred Proficiency in C or C++ programming Embedded systems design experience with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems (real-time Linux experience desirable) Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review processes Excellent knowledge of real-time system coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems Strong understanding of multi-threaded applications and resource management About STS Technical ServicesSTS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm that partners with some of the largest names in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, and industrial industries.
