Release Manager
Position Summary

Work you’ll do/Responsibilities  

Own the release calendar and coordinate release trains, cutovers, and deployment windows. Facilitate release planning (scope, timelines, environment readiness, dependencies, go/no-go criteria). Lead release readiness activities: checklists, change approvals, stakeholder sign-offs, and runbooks. Coordinate across teams for build, test, and deployment; manage cross-team dependencies and integration points. Drive change management practices (e.g., Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes where applicable). Manage risk and issue resolution for releases; track and escalate blockers with clear mitigations. Ensure quality gates are met (testing completion, defect thresholds, performance/security checks). Oversee release communications (release notes, outage notices, stakeholder updates, hypercare status). Maintain release documentation: runbooks, deployment procedures, environment maps, and audit evidence.

 

Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement managementIndependently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes

Qualifications

 Required

10+ Years Experience in release management, change management, DevOps, or delivery/project management in technology teams.10+ Years Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing practices (unit, integration, UAT).10+ Years Experience Strong coordinating across engineering, QA, operations, security, and business stakeholders.Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experienceLimited immigration sponsorship may be availableAbility to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
