About this Role We’re looking for a skilled Relay & Apparatus Technician to join our team and support critical power‑system protection and electrical apparatus projects across North America. In this hands‑on field role, you’ll test, troubleshoot, commission, and maintain high‑voltage equipment while upholding the highest standards of safety, precision, and craftsmanship. What You'll Do As a Relay & Apparatus Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability of protection and control systems and electrical power apparatus. Your responsibilities will include: + Testing, troubleshooting, and inspecting complex electrical systems + Performing acceptance, maintenance, and commissioning testing on circuit breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, SF6 interrupters, grounding systems, battery banks, relays, meters, motor control centers, and SCADA systems + Operating test equipment (Doble, Manta, Vanguard, Omicron) + Communicating with relay platforms (SEL, Multilin, Basler) + Using software such as DTA, Protection Suite, Enoserve/RTS, PTM, Accelerator + Interpreting protection and control schemes and electrical drawings + Troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical circuits + Writing clear test reports in Microsoft Word and Excel + This will require extensive, nationwide, travel.
