Role Overview

An established international financial institution is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to support the growth and management of its Consumer & Premier Banking portfolio in Ghana.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and selected business clients, driving portfolio growth, enhancing customer experience, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal governance standards.

 

The role requires a commercially driven banking professional with strong relationship management capability, customer engagement skills, and a solid understanding of financial crime compliance obligations.

 

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow a portfolio of High Net Worth Individuals and selected business banking relationships. Develop new business opportunities and deepen existing client relationships. Serve as the primary point of contact for designated clients. Ensure regular engagement and proactive communication with clients. Support growth initiatives across consumer and premier banking segments. Ensure customer information and KYC documentation remain current and compliant. Coordinate effectively with internal operational and support teams to deliver seamless service. Drive increased wallet share, revenue generation, and customer retention. Identify opportunities for cross-selling and product penetration. Support onboarding, account maintenance, and customer servicing activities. Monitor service delivery standards and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Assist in resolving client issues, service requests, and operational escalations. Support fraud management processes and customer protection initiatives. Ensure all customer relationships comply with AML, KYC, and financial crime requirements. Prepare periodic portfolio reviews, relationship plans, and business activity reports. Generate referrals and expand networks within target market segments. Contribute to broader departmental and organisational objectives as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification Relevant banking or financial services experience Postgraduate qualification or professional certification would be advantageous

Technical Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint Familiarity with core banking systems and digital banking platforms preferred
