What you'll do:

As a Relationship Executive based in Manchester City Centre, you will play a pivotal role in managing your own diverse portfolio of Employee Assistance Programme and Occupational Health clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around nurturing long-term partnerships by providing tailored support through telephonic engagement, virtual meetings, email correspondence, and occasional face-to-face visits. You will be instrumental in guiding clients through renewal negotiations—handling up to 60 renewals monthly—and ensuring that retention targets are consistently met or exceeded. In addition to delivering consultancy services on specialist offerings such as onsite training or CISM interventions, you will actively identify opportunities for up-selling further solutions that add value for both clients and the business.

Manage your own portfolio of Employee Assistance Programme clients, intermediaries, and Occupational Health clients with annual contract values under £3,000. Proactively nurture client relationships to achieve high contract retention levels and ensure timely renewal of premiums issued. Engage regularly with clients via telephone, virtual meetings, email communications, and occasional external visits to deliver exceptional service standards. Oversee new client implementations by coordinating onboarding processes and ensuring seamless transitions for all stakeholders involved. Negotiate renewals for between 40-60 clients per month within your portfolio to maintain an impressive retention rate of 95%. Deliver consultancy services on specialist products such as onsite training sessions and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) to enhance client value. Identify opportunities to up-sell additional services with the aim of achieving at least £10,000 in new business per quarter. Secure three self-generated new business client wins each quarter by leveraging your understanding of client needs and market trends. Provide insightful feedback to senior management regarding evolving client requirements and market changes to help shape future propositions. Maintain accurate CRM records by updating client interactions daily and producing weekly reports on renewals, activities, outstanding tasks, and at-risk accounts.

What you bring:

To excel as a Relationship Executive in this thriving organisation based in Manchester City Centre, you will bring prior experience from account management or similar roles where building rapport with clients was central to your success. Your interpersonal skills will enable you to connect empathetically with diverse stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood while fostering trust-based relationships that drive retention. .

Demonstrated experience in account management or relationship management roles within service-led industries is highly desirable. Exceptional organisational skills with proven attention to detail when managing multiple priorities across a busy portfolio. Strong written communication abilities for crafting clear emails and reports as well as verbal skills adaptable for various audiences including clients and internal teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel for data analysis/reporting; Word for documentation; PowerPoint for presentations. A collaborative approach with the ability to work closely with colleagues across sales, bid teams, intermediaries, and direct clients. Comfortable working towards set targets including KPIs such as daily webinar talk time (75 minutes), premium renewal rates above 93%, contract renewal rates above 90%, and 35 calls per day. Ability to multi-task efficiently—balancing administrative duties with proactive client engagement within tight deadlines
