As a Relation Service Specialist, you will act as a single access point and liaison between the external referring physician community and the Cleveland Clinic. Caregivers will primarily work at One location, either Main Campus or Independence with occasional travel to either site.
A caregiver in this position works 8:30am - 5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Register and schedule external referring physician appointment requests, coordinates services and provides special instructions.
Ensure appropriate follow through for all calls and if needed escalation of pending appointment requests.
Communicate scheduling information, instructions and directions.
Capture referrals, cancellation reasons and physician data and validates/captures insurance coverage.
Apply industry standard ranking rules for multiple insurances.
Identify patients in need of financial counseling to facilitate payment.
Develop, evaluate, and improve department procedures related to customer service and quality.
Act as a liaison for Cleveland Clinic Healthcare system and the external referring physician.
Participate in special assignments related to workflow improvement and developing and validating Standard Operating Procedures.
Assist patients, referring physicians and executive patients in navigating through the CCHS to ensure resolution and satisfaction.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Two to three years of CCF Epic experience or has completed Cleveland Clinic Epic scheduling and registration.
Three to five years of relevant technical call center experience or healthcare setting may be substituted.
Multi-tasking various requests and projects.
Proven and excellent follow up skills.
Maintain composure and professionalism in high stress situations.
Can work with little or no supervision in a team environment.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field.
