Job Description:

A dynamic and expanding organization in the insurance and financial services sector is seeking a skilled Reinsurance Underwriter. This role involves evaluating risk profiles of potential clients, crafting insurance quotes, and collaborating with brokers and internal stakeholders to develop tailored policy solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and experience in reinsurance underwriting.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and assess information from client proposal forms.Reference internal data to evaluate existing policy volumes for similar risk categories.Utilize advanced data analysis tools to determine acceptable risk thresholds.Draft insurance quotes and calculate appropriate premium levels.Develop and document policy terms and conditions.Communicate with brokers and clients to clarify coverage details and risk assessments.

Core Competencies:

Underwriting expertise across various insurance types (life, casualty, etc.)Familiarity with lending and banking principlesStrong analytical and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven experience in reinsurance underwriting and retrocession strategyAbility to collaborate on product development with insurance partnersSkilled in supporting claims processes with brokers and retrocessionairesExperience in risk identification and mitigation within reinsurance operationsMarketing and business development experience in insurance servicesComfortable attending industry events and building strategic partnerships

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
