**Responsibilities**
The Rehabilitation Technician assists with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a physician, therapist or assistant.Maintains the safety and cleanliness of the patient care equipment and the environment. Assists with data collection for quality improvement, research, patient education and regulatory compliance. Engages in personal and professional development in support of departmental initiatives and daily operations.
**Qualifications**
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to collect and report information to the appropriate individuals.
Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting and deal with stress caused by the care of acutely ill patients.
Ability to work flexible hours, which may include early or late shifts, holidays, and weekends.
Direct patient care experience preferred. Computer skills preferred. Some areas prefer Bachelor’s degrees in related field (i.e., kinesiology, exercise science, psychology)[CCL1]
Basic Life Support Certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) Competency.
