Rehab Nurses Needed – Make a Difference When It Matters Most!
Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (RN) The Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (RN) is a skilled and compassionate healthcare professional responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgical procedures. This role requires strong clinical judgment, patience, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. The Rehab RN promotes functional recovery, patient independence, and safe transitions of care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized rehabilitation care plans. • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including functional abilities, mobility levels, and medical history. • Administer medications, therapies, and treatments as prescribed. • Monitor patient progress and responses to rehabilitation interventions. • Collaborate with physical, occupational, and speech therapists to support the interdisciplinary care plan. • Assist patients with mobility training, ADLs, and safe use of assistive devices. • Educate patients and families on therapy plans, safety protocols, and home-care instructions. • Document all assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the electronic health record (EHR). • Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and quality standards. • Support patient advocacy, autonomy, and confidentiality throughout the rehabilitation process. Minimum Requirements • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. • Minimum of one year of professional nursing experience; rehabilitation experience preferred. • Completion of Amergis’ Competency Program (if applicable). • Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred). • TB screening and health clearance as required by contract or regulation. • Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. • Successful completion of new-hire orientation and rehabilitation-specific training. • Understanding of patient privacy requirements and HIPAA regulations. • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English. • Basic computer literacy. • Must be at least 18 years old.
