The ideal candidate will also possess the following\:
Experience working with individuals with mental health issues, dual diagnoses, behavioural challenges, chronic pain, or addictions
Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, including managing challenging behaviours (e.g., aggression, elopement, inappropriate conduct)
Ability to work independently, take direction, and collaborate effectively with a team
Willingness and ability to perform personal care, medication assistance, ADLs, administrative tasks, light cleaning, advocacy, and therapy implementation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Physically capable of bending, stretching, and lifting
Highly organized with the ability to complete tasks within set timeframes
Proficient with computers and secure email systems
Committed to ongoing learning and professional development
Work with individuals with acquired brain injuries while assisting them with increasing levels of independence through individualized rehabilitation programs (responsible for up to 5 clients at a particular time)
Complete documentation following company and provincial guidelines
Follow the designed rehabilitation program as accurately as possible
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs); performing personal care, medication management, and various forms of transfer tasks
Accompany clients on community outings as needed via external transport services or your own vehicle
Utilize appropriate Crisis and Behavioural Management strategies
Collect required clinical data through documentation, tracking, etc.
Complete research to assist with enhancing client programs
Other clinical and administrative duties as assigned
Provide flexible availability (evenings, weekends, overnights, occasional holidays)
