Job Description

The Senior Manager, Government Contract Accounting & Regulatory Compliance, is responsible for overseeing compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and company financial policies across all government contract activities. This role manages incurred cost submissions, rate development, and audit responses while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with corporate objectives. The Senior Manager also provides leadership, mentoring, and strategic guidance to the accounting team to maintain a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.

This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules to include both in-office presence and telecommute/virtual work and can be based from a variety of locations in the US.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead preparation and submission of annual Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS) in compliance with FAR and CAS requirements.

Develop, implement, and maintain indirect rate structures, models, and reconciliations to support accurate billing and project costing.

Serve as liaison with DCAA, DCMA, and external auditors, managing audit responses, negotiations, and supporting documentation.

Design and implement financial models, forecasting tools, and automation processes to improve accuracy and efficiency in rate development and reporting.

Establish, maintain, and monitor accounting procedures to ensure compliance with government regulations and company policy.

Provide training and guidance to management and staff on FAR and CAS compliance, cost allowability, and documentation standards.

Partner with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.

Supervise and mentor accounting team members, promoting professional development and process excellence.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

BA/BS plus at least 12 years of relevant accounting / finance experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including at least 4 years of leadership experienceProficiency with MS Excel to include financial modeling experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional services industry experienceFamiliarity with Oracle
