Overview
The Regulatory Certification Compliance Coordinator is responsible for maintaining programs that ensure 100% compliance with regulatory training and certifications, including SNAP, CBD, food safety and alcohol. This position will work closely with store Crew to address opportunities, as well as across Store Support Center departments (including Training, HR, Operations, and Legal) to identify gaps in regulatory training compliance, then provide relevant information to company leaders. In the case of food safety and alcohol training, certifications, and permits, the Regulatory Certification Compliance Coordinator will work with Legal to become familiar with state and local requirements at specific store locations and ensure that all requirements are met and maintained.
Responsibilities
Main Ingredients:
+ Manage regulatory requirements for store Crew training and certification for food safety, alcohol, SNAP and CBD.
+ Maintain accurate records of all required training completions, certifications, permits, etc.
+ Audit and manage Crew compliance for all required training, certifications, and permits, escalating as necessary to company leadership.
+ Monitor Training Requests to ensure all Crew attending the Natural Grocers Training program receive and complete the required food safety and alcohol courses before or during the training program, depending on requirements.
+ Provide bi-weekly compliance reporting for all required certifications, communicate due dates and manage compliance with the Store and Regional Managers.
+ This includes for all newly hired Crew and for existing Crew with expiring certifications and/or permits.
+ Provide bi-weekly reporting for all past due training courses, certifications, and permits to company leadership, partnering with store leaders and HR to manage as necessary.
+ Maintain an understanding of all state/local food and alcohol training requirements and monitor our training and compliance systems to ensure we meet all requirements.
+ Obtain and maintain required food safety and alcohol trainer certifications and provide instruction within a classroom or virtual classroom setting bi-weekly.
+ Create short training documents/job aids to assist in developing compliance at our stores.

Qualifications
Recipe for Success:
+ Minimum three years experience managing regulatory requirements required.
+ Excellent communication skills are critical – must be able to efficiently create courteous but targeted emails to Managers of employees who are out of compliance.
+ Must be detail-oriented, organized, have strong analytical skills, and enjoy problem solving.
+ Experience providing structured in-person training preferred.
+ Must be highly motivated, work independently, solve problems independently, manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and willing to collaborate.
+ Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.
+ Experience working in Natural Grocers stores preferred but not required.
+ Must have advanced level skills utilizing Microsoft Office Applications - particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Physical Requirements:
+ Must have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
+ Must have the ability to occasionally push or pull up to 100 lbs.
+ Must be able to frequently use the computer for data entry and use of mouse.
+ Must be able to occasionally walk, stand, use fine motor manipulations, grip, squat, kneel, bend twist and turn, crawl and climb, reach above chest and reach outward for the duration of the work shift.
+ Must be able to constantly sit.
Environmental Requirements:
+ Must be able to do outside work occasionally with cold, heat, wet, humid, sharp tools and equipment, noise, dust, fumes, and congested worksite.
