Plessis Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead RVT to help guide our skilled and close-knit team. As our Lead RVT, you’ll play a key role in shaping a positive workplace culture while ensuring our high standards of care are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and RVT training protocols. Mentor and train new RVTs, and Veterinary Assistants, providing hands-on support and guidance. Partner with leadership to conduct performance check-ins and coordinate team meetings and continuing education opportunities. Oversee daily patient care standards, surgical flow, and treatment room operations, ensuring efficiency and quality care. Support client communication and assist with resolving medical or service concerns with professionalism and empathy. Manage equipment maintenance, coordinate repairs, and assist with procurement of new tools and lab supplies. Oversee inventory control, placing orders, and processing product returns as needed. Supervise co-op and practicum students, reviewing applications, scheduling rotations, and ensuring compliance with training expectations. Work hands-on in appointments, treatment, and surgery, setting the tone for teamwork and excellence. Foster team engagement by promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.What We Offer
