Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital is a state-of-the-art veterinary emergency and referral hospital that delivers expert care and treatment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are currently looking to expand our ER team and are looking for Registered Veterinary Technicians who want to stretch their RVT skills and be a part of an amazing collaborative team.
Skills you can learn and use include:
The placement of various IV catheters, various urinary catheters, nasogastric tubes, nasal oxygen cannulas; the care and maintenance of patients with NG & E-tubes, closed suction drains, chest tubes, urinary catheters and wound diffusion catheters. Set up, maintenance and adjustment of various IV fluid plans and pain CRI’s along with multiple medication administration.
Hone in on your patient care with treatments of in-hospital patients including blocked cats, gastroenteritis, foreign bodies, fractures, lacerations, GDV, parvo and various autoimmune diseases. Help stabilize and perform anesthesia with our amazing team of specialists for various surgical and wound procedures and surgeries as well as manage them post-operatively.
Above all, be a part of a team that puts each other first, along with the care of patients, as we implement the best practice veterinary medicine in the GTA.
Schedule:
4 days on
5 days off
12-hour day shifts followed by two 12-hour night shifts. Shifts may fall on weekends and holidays.
