Registered Radiology Technologist

Here, you will receive endless support and appreciation while building a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world. **Radiology Technologists** use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position, correctly operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient. Radiology Technologists may specialize in more specific imaging techniques such as bone densitometry, cardiovascular-interventional radiography, computer tomography, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear medicine. **New graduates are welcome.** **A caregiver in this position works varying shifts, from 8:00am-4:30pm or 7:30am-4:00pm.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures. + Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay. + Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS. + Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam. + Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. + Maintain documentation. + Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator. + Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology + Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing + Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist. + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross + Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes. + Ability to communicate well with Radiologists and physicians to coordinate proper imaging of patients. + Strong communication skills are essential to provide excellent care to patients and families. + Ability to function well with minimal or no direct supervision. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education.
