As a Radiologic Technologist, you will utilize various x-ray equipment including mobile units, C-arms and fluoroscopy systems to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation. Responsibilities include preparing patients, positioning them correctly, operating equipment safely and ensuring high-quality imaging with minimal radiation exposure. You will help foster a supportive environment that promotes patient comfort. While growing alongside your team, you will have access to advancement opportunities through specialized training in CT, MRI, ultrasound and other imaging modalities offered by Cleveland Clinic.

This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working varying shifts between 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. with weekend requirements.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.  

Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.  

Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.  

Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.  

Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.  

Maintain documentation.  

Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.  

Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients and process billing. 

Rotate through all diagnostic imaging modalities, sites and/or locations. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology  

Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing  

Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist  

Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Knowledge of anatomy and related pathological processes

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Physical Requirements:

Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
