We are looking for RNs to join LGH's Special Care Nursery. Our Nursery is currently designated as a Level II program by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. That means we offer expert staff and the latest technology to care for babies who need an added level of support, including those born prematurely, twins and triplets, or infants with certain metabolic conditions.
Babies that may require special care nursing include: Babies born prematurely Twins and triplets Infants with certain metabolic conditions
The nursery offers 24/7 coverage by a neonatologist—a pediatric specialist whose focus and expertise is in the care of newborn infants. In addition, all the nurses who staff our Special Care Nursery are registered nurses with advanced training and education in the treatment of infants. We also employ pediatric hospitalists from Tufts Children's Hospital.
This position will require:
Massachusetts RN licensure with a Bachelor's Degree, preferably a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Current Lawrence General Registered Nurses who are MNA members are also qualified to apply. Level II Nursery experience and NRP Certification required. Every other weekend and rotation.
