Inova Fairfax Hospital's Woodburn Surgery Center team is seeking a part-time experienced PACU registered nurse. 

Schedule: Schedule: PT 24 hours/week: Monday - Friday, no holiday, nights, weekends or on call.  Flexibility on shifts to include: 10 and 12 hours.  Candidates must be able to work part-time hours with shifts covering until 6.30 and 7.30 pm.

Woodburn Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center that serves the community of Sports Medicine, Total Joints, hand and other outpatient orthopedic patients. The nurses in this unit care for the patient throughout all phases of Perianesthesia including Preop, Phase 1, and Phase 2 recovery. 

There is free parking on site and scrubs are provided.  Case volumes are 10-20 per day, and hours of operation are M-F, 0600-2130.  It is a fast-paced environment that focuses on strong teamwork and patient safety.  Our mission is to provide world-class health care—every time, every touch—to each person that we have the privilege to serve.

RN PACU Qualifications: 

One year of PACU (to include PreOp, phase 1 and 2 recovery experience) or Critical Care Nursing (ICU/ED) experience is required. Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia ACLS, PALS, BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)

RN PACU preferred qualifications:

2 or more years of PACU (to include PreOp, phase 1 and 2 recovery experience) or Critical Care Nursing (ICU/ED) experience
