Neuro ICU is a bed adult inpatient unit caring for critically ill medical and neuro science patients We provide care to patients with a wide range of complex highly acute medicalneuro issues utilizing a variety of advanced technologies and devices including CRRT monitoring intracranial pressures brain tissue oxygenation and hemo dynamic monitoring Our patient population include but are not limited to respiratory failure gastrointestinal bleeding liver injuryfailure kidney injuryfailure sepsis drugalcohol withdrawal stroke headspinal cord trauma and brain hemorrhage RNs in this specialty also must have a family centered approach because of the critical nature of our patients We also work closely with our Critical Care Pulmonologist Neuro intensivist Physician Assistants and Advanced
