Shift Differentials: 3rd shift - $4.00/hour Weekends - $3.25/hour Overview Welcome to our Medical Surgical Department! We're dedicated to delivering exceptional care to a diverse range of patients. Boasting 45 beds, our unit is equipped to meet the needs of both medical and surgical cases. From managing sepsis and cardiac conditions to addressing wounds, respiratory illnesses, gastric disorders, and various infections, we handle a broad spectrum of medical complexities. With a commitment to individualized care, we maintain a patient-to-RN ratio of 4-6, ensuring that each individual receives the attention and support they deserve. Our team is dedicated not only to delivering medical expertise but also providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families. Together, we foster a healing environment where kindness and compassion are as vital as our medical skills. $12,500-20,000 Sign-On Bonus (New Grads: $12,500, 1+ Years of Experience: $20,000) POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan) Licensure/Certification: Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: BSN Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
