Sentara Health is currently hiring for an RN to join the IV Therapy team at Virginia Beach General Hospital.

Shift: FT (36hrs) - Rotating

Position Overview/Experience:

A minimum of 18 months of RN experienceThe IV RN is consulted to assist with IV starts and lab draws. Experience with ultrasound guided IV's.The IV RN monitors all central lines in the hospital and provides interventions when needed. Example: Dressing change to prevent infection.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
 

Education:

ADN required, BSN or higher preferred.

Certification:

Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.BLS within 90 days of hire.

Experience:

A minimum of 18 months RN experience.Inserting IV's with ultrasound, midlines and PICC lines.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$30.38 - $55.38. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
