Registered Nurse (RN II)-Cardiac Cath Lab 
Progressive Cardiac Cath Lab department is looking for a top skilled nurse. Is that you?

Where you will be working:
Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104
Work environment: Cardiac Cath Lab
Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, holidays and on-call (must live within 30 minutes of hospital for call) (4-member Call Team) required

Department highlights:
•    Cath lab department with 6 Suites/Treatment rooms averaging 20 cases per day
•    We are open 24/7 Monday through Friday and have after hour, holidays, and weekend on-call requirements (with 30 min distance response time).

Things you need for the position:
Education:
Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
CLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required

Experience:
One (1) year experience as a clinical Registered Nurse or completion of an RN Residency program required
Current Cath Lab/EP Lab experience strongly preferred 

Licensure and Certifications:
RN- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required and
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within ninety (90) days required
 
Skills:
•    A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. 
•    RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care
•    The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs and demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will:
•    Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment 
•    Maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
•    Possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
•    Have basic computer skills using medical management application systems

What You Will Do
•    Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
•    Assesses the patient
•    Plans the care of the patient
•    Intervenes as appropriate
•    Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
•    Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
•    Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
•    Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
