Currently we are seeking a Registered Nurse – Cardiology Device for our Cardiology office located in Williamsville, NY! This is a full-time position, scheduled Monday – Friday and includes Free Parking! No nights, weekends, or holidays! Essential Duties of a Registered Nurse: The primary purpose of this position is to assist providers with the proper administration of patient care and independently conduct cardiac device checks. + Serves as a liaison between providers and patients by assessing patient needs and communicating health information; including direct communication with patients based on patient triage notes + Perform telephone consultations and triages of patients with cardiac rhythm and/or cardiac device issues + Follow service line initiatives to minimize implanted device related hospital readmissions by communicating with appropriate parties to ensure proper follow up within specified time frames + Optimize the clinical effectiveness of cardiac pacing by making suitable adjustments consistent with the patients’ clinical requirements + Access pacing and sensing functions and monitor pulse generator and lead function + Track patients whose systems are subject to product notifications or failure + Identify and record the nature and frequency of arrhythmias + Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures, in accordance with internal and legal regulations + Monitor incoming documents and assist with the completion of necessary forms + Utilize device software and website to monitor incoming patient device activity and cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately + Complete summary reports, generate an e-bill and route to the appropriate physician for billing and signature + Deliver exemplary customer service to provide a positive patient experience across the organization + Perform other duties assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications of a Registered Nurse: + Applicable State license, two-year degree preferred + Proven work experience in healthcare facility required, previous device experience preferred + Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT Codes, familiarity with cardiology diagnostic tests + Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to utilize computer programs + Current CPR, BLS and ACLS Certifications required General Physician, P.C. is proud to be AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
