caregivers and physicians that utilize advanced technology and clinical partnerships in a convenient safe and comfortable patient environmentPOSITION SUMMARY PURPOSEIncumbents of this position are professional Registered Nurses that utilize the nursing process assessment planning intervention documentation and evaluation to provide direct and indirect patient care based on areas assigned addressing the age appropriate needs of all patients Follows nursing department philosophies policies and procedures to develop unique education and care plans for each patient and provide appropriate education and support for family members Utilizes judgment knowledge and understanding of patient and family needs when directing ancillary staff Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction patient family physician others maintaining patient confidentiality and being sensitive to the age specific patient needs for comfort privacy and generalized careESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAssesses and diagnoses patient and family needs in order to provide quality care to assigned patientsDevelops discusses and communicates a plan of care for each patient in collaboration with the healthcare team and including the patientfamilysignificant other in order to address all identified needsDemonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement the medical plan of care nursing interventions and procedures as necessary for the care of the patientPer unit standards evaluates the identified problems care provided and patientrsquos responses are reassessed to meet patient and family needs to ensure overall quality ofMaintains uptodate and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team to ensure quality careMaintains current knowledgecertificationlicensure per Hospital policy Pursues professional growth and development Attends all required Safety Training programs and caFunctions as a role model for current and new staffFollows the Hospital Exposure Control PlansBlood borne and Airborne PathogensDemonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients families visitors and fellow employees to ensure a
