Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized care and support to patients in the cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
Develop and implement exercise plans tailored to each patient’s specific needs, goals, and abilities.
Monitor patient progress, adjust exercise plans, and provide guidance on lifestyle changes to improve cardiovascular and pulmonary health.
Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation goals, techniques, and preventive care.
Serve as a mentor and instructor to students in rehabilitation and related programs, offering guidance and support as they learn clinical skills.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.
Foster a positive and supportive environment for patients, encouraging their commitment to rehabilitation and recovery.
Adhere to all safety protocols and standards of practice to ensure the well-being of patients during rehabilitation sessions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
