**Registered Nurse (RN) PRN III Nights** **–** **Gynecology / Antepartum Unit** **for Texas Health HEB**

**Work location:** Texas Health HEB, 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford, TX 76022
**Work hours:** PRN Level III/per diem, Night Shift 7p – 7a; minimum requirement: 6 shift/per 6-week schedule, 2 weekend shift/per 6-week schedule, 1 major/2 minor holiday requirement
**Gynecology / Antepartum** **Unit Department highlights:**
+ 14 bed Obstetrics / Gynecology / Antepartum Unit
+ 12 bed Mother/Baby and Maternal/Newborn Unit
+ 9 bed LDR, 3 OR suites, 4 bed OB ED unit with an average of 200 deliveries a month
+ Level III NICU
+ Couplet care and Level III Maternal Designation
+ Self-Scheduling
+ OB Hospitalist onsite 24 hours
+ Certification rate over 50%
+ Nursing Clinical Ladder participation rate over 50%
+ Excellent teamwork
**Here’s What You Need**
+ Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
+ RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
+ BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
+ NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days of hire
+ CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
+ 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req
+ 1 year of Gynecology / Antepartum or Med Surg experience preferred
**What You Will Do**
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
+ Assesses the patient
+ Plans the care of the patient
+ Intervenes as appropriate
+ Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
+ Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
+ Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
+ Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
