leading professionals The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region caring for patients from birth through the end of lifeThe Critical Care Unit at the Hospital of Central Connecticut is a bed unit all comprised of private rooms The staff includes Registered Nurses Nurse Assistants Administrative Support Staff with attending Physicians and Mid level providers available Our unit is equipped with the highest levels of technology including Electronic Patient Records Our staff works in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams in a patient centered care model in a richly diverse work spaceUnder the general direction of Nursing Leadership and in collaboration with a nurse preceptor and nurse educator along with an interdisciplinary team the Registered Nurse Resident utilizes evidence based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and policies and procedures of the hospital This position Licensure Certification Registrationmiddot Registered Nurse State of CTmiddot Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association AHA obtained within Month days of hire date or job transfer datemiddot Additional certifications may be required in specific specialties Language Skillsmiddot Must be able to effectively communicate information in English Knowledge Skills and Ability Requirementsmiddot Applies the principles and practices of nursingmiddot Ability to develop deliver and evaluate patient caremiddot Works towards caring for a full patient assignment with expanding scope of responsibilities over timemiddot Basic knowledge of high reliabilitymiddot Strong communication skills both verbal and written Uses communication skills to foster a healthy work environment
