As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for:
Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Where You'll WorkAt Holy Cross Hospital – West Valley, being a Level III Trauma center in northwestern Salt Lake Valley allows the Perioperative Department to see a wide range of patient needs and acuity levels. The surgical unit has 5 operating rooms including a Trauma room, Orthopedic room, and a Cystoscopy room. We have high powered holmium laser that is used in urology for the HoLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) procedure, as well as the CORI Robotic system allowing us to provide robotically assisted total joint replacement surgery. Currently we provide 10 different specialties including trauma, ortho, general, bariatric, ENT, plastics, urology, GYN, interventional pain, and more.
Our skilled team is cross trained for all specialties allowing for an increased knowledge base of surgical procedures and the ability to cover any patient care needs. We strive to provide safe, quality patient care and exceptional customer service to our providers. The surgical department is fully invested in the team approach to patient care.
