Registered Nurse - Oncology Infusion
What We Offer Novant Health Zimmer Cancer Center is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Infusion Oncology RN to join our team. In this critical role, you will be on the front lines of cancer care, administering life-saving treatments and providing essential support to patients and their families. Location: Zimmer Cancer Institute - Scott's Hill - 109 Scotts Hill Medical Dr Suit 102, Wilmington, NC 28411 Status: Full Time Schedule: 9 hour shifts with varying start times between 7am-8am What You'll Do Key Responsibilities: As an Infusion Oncology RN, your impact goes far beyond just administering treatments. You are a beacon of support and comfort during one of the most challenging times in a person's life. Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other cancer treatments. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with oncologists and other healthcare professionals. Provide comprehensive patient education on treatment plans, side effects, and self-care management. Monitor patients for adverse reactions and manage symptoms effectively. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care. What We're Looking For Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course. Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
