Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Registered Nurse, where you will play a crucial role in coordinating care for Maternal Fetal Medicine patients. This position involves ensuring efficient follow-up on testing and procedures, managing physician orders, and facilitating hospital admissions. You will also contribute to the orientation of new clinical staff and maintain high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

Coordinate care for antepartum patients, including follow-up testing, procedures, and hospital admissions.Orient new clinical staff and sign off on clinical competencies.Perform patient intake and assist with clinical inventory, including sterilization devices.Actively participate in research through data collection and idea development.Assist providers and nursing staff in the clinic.Collect prior authorization for prescriptions and monitor task queues.Maintain clinical competency to ensure quality patient care.Review patient lab results and imaging studies, discuss abnormal findings with physicians, and follow up with patients regarding treatment.Promote the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the organization by complying with policies and procedures.Serve as a positive role model and demonstrate a professional, caring attitude towards co-workers, patients, and guests.Attend assigned duties and rotate to other locations as needed.Complete other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Graduation from an NLN Accredited School of Nursing with a Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.Minimum one year experience with high-risk obstetric patients preferred.Minimum one year experience in fetal monitoring preferred.Valid Virginia license as a Professional Registered Nurse.

This is a Contract position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
