The surgical unit itself has 17 rooms including the trauma room, a hybrid room, designated cardiac OR and a Cystoscopy room. We have two DaVinci Xi Robotic systems allowing us to provide robotically assisted procedures in general, urology, gynecology and thoracic specialties. Currently there are 17 different specialties provided here at SAH including trauma, neuro, ortho, general, cardiac, vascular, ENT, plastics, urology, GYN, thoracic, and more. Our caseload for 2019 was 5,859 procedures in this unit alone. We have one specialized team for cardiac, all other associates are cross-trained for all remaining specialties allowing for increased knowledge base of surgical procedures, skill level and ability to cover any patient care needs. We provide safe, quality patient care to all those in need and exceptional customer service to our providers as well. The surgical department is fully invested in the team approach to patient care including nurses, surgical technologist, surgeons, anesthesiologists, certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNA), support specialists, unit clerks, anesthesia techs, supply chain management, facilities and biomed.
