GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively
communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Completes and signs “Request for Contingent Status: Conditions for Employment” specific to their contingent
option.
Unit Description:
All the Float Pool staff is assigned to either a med/surg, stepdown, observation, or ICU unit. Must have 2 years of RN experience.
The float pool allows for flexible self-scheduling. The RNs with the specific skill set can be assigned to Critical Care, otherwise any of the GPUs. Float Pool is also great for people who like change and not a repetitive routine of reporting to the same department every shift.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
BSN preferred.Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED
