Registered Nurse - Coordinator Patient Care - Radiation

Position Summary: Supports the Mission, Vision and Values of the Hospital. Develops and implements oncology nursing standards of practice, policies, protocols and staff/patient education programs. Ensures that quality oncology nursing standards are implemented and adhered to in Radiation Oncology.
Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
1. 1. Ensures that quality oncology nursing standards are implement and adhered to in Radiation Oncology.
Participates in data collection for department QA program. Coordinates patient care for patients undergoing radiation therapy and those who have completed treatment. Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence. Participates in a minimum of 50% of department meetings; reads and initials minutes from meetings not attended, as evidenced by attendance log.Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or ten (10) years of prior clinical nursing experience. Three (3) years prior experience in nursing. Maintains a registered nursing license in the State of Michigan. Oncology Certified Nursing (OCN) obtained within eighteen (18) months. BLS card from AHA required before start date (valid at least 60 days beyond start date).Preferred:
