Your primary function is to work with patients throughout the process of achieving their weight-loss goals during the pre and post operational weight–loss surgeries. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner. **In this role you will:** + Demonstrate knowledge and application of the nursing process. + Implement and monitor patient care plans. + Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. + Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. + Note and carry out physician orders. + Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. **Job Requirements:** + Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation. + Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, BSN is preferred + NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start + Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start + American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required within 6 months of employment start date + Member of the ASBS preferred + CBM Certified Bariatric Nurse preferred + 2+ years Acute Care experience preferred + **BCN Certification required within 2 years from date of hire.** HCA Florida UCF Lake Nona Hospital is located in the southern Orlando suburb of Lake Nona, known as Medical City.
