**Job Description** **$10,000 Signing Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine** **Harborview Medical Center's Community Heart Failure Program** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Registered Nurse (RN).** **WORK SCHEDULE:** + 100% FTE, M-F, no weekends OR holiday shifts allowing for work-life balance in the beautiful northwest community + Day Shift, 7:45am - 4:15pm **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:** **The Heart Institute at Harborview Medical Center** offers a full range of heart healthcare and prevention services including general cardiology, cardiac diagnostic imaging tests and procedures, arrhythmia management and electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart services, advanced heart failure management, and other advanced services. **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS** + Conveniently located near public transportation + Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve + Opportunity to provide career growth **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** + Work closely with Community Heart Failure APP, Pharmacist and Program Coordinator + Collaborate with a variety of HMC inpatient and outpatient clinics, staff members and providers + Provide nursing care to patients in varied community settings such as, aRnd not limited to, homes, apartments, supported housing, other healthcare organizations, tents, homeless shelters, etc. + Assess and evaluate patients, as well as draw labs and complete other point of care testing in a community setting + Prioritize personal safety while providing care in a community setting + Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to prescribe, delegate, coordinate and provide safe, therapeutic nursing care to patients and families + Make independent judgments and decisions and take action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient issues, while collaborating with the appropriate disciplines and team members, to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission through discharge, in support of the medical and nursing plans of care **REQUIREMENTS:** + Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington + At least 2 years of nursing experience working with the unhoused population + Experience working out in the community instead of a hospital or clinic would be preferred **ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER** As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
