We want your knowledge and expertise! **Job Summary and Qualifications** Coordinates and/or provides educational opportunities for the Diabetic patient in the in-patient and out-patient setting. This includes needs assessment, development of goals and objectives, implementation methods, evaluation measures and instruction of educational activities. Creates opportunities to improve the educational function as it relates to the disease process. Assumes leadership in the role of program coordinator. Assess a client’s needs and provide needed education and resources to assist in management of diabetes in collaboration with other interdisciplinary team members. **What you will do in this role:** ​​ + You will monitor and ensure simulation- and education-based technologies are maintained to ensure minimal downtime. + You will assess and remedy equipment failures in a timely fashion. + You will evaluate simulation- and education-based technology results to identify opportunities for improvement in internal or external customer satisfaction and/or patient experience. + You will operate and assist with the simulators and task trainers for all types of training sessions. + You will provide orientation, consultation, and support for simulation laboratory procedures. This will include the location and use of materials and operation of equipment. + You will identify performance opportunities or training needs related to clinical simulation. You will provide coaching, development, and training to improve performance. **What qualifications you will need:** Graduate of Professional Nursing Degree; ADN or BSN Required BCLS Required ​Certification as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist or Certified Diabetes Educator required within 12 months of certification eligibility.
