**Department:** Post Anesthesia Care Unit **Shift:** Casual **Daily Work Times:** Variable **Scheduled Biweekly Hours:** 0 **Position Summary:** Responsible for the delivery of nursing care within the assigned unit scope of practice following hospital policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice. **Essential Functions and Responsibilities:** 1. Assesses each assigned patient, documents and evaluates their response to care plan, and takes appropriate corrective action. 2. Plans and implements the patient care plan/standard of care and provides patient teaching using the care plan/standard of care. 3. Oversees all ancillary personnel for technical tasks. _Required:_ + Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. + A minimum of one year telemetry experience required and successful completion of the Dysrhythmia prior to hire. + Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license. + BLS certification as Healthcare Provideror equivalent through the Military Training Network (MTN) required within 30 days of hire. + ACLS required within 6 months of hire. + _Preferred:_ + Member of ASPAN
