Job Description:Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

Education Qualifications:

BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employmentBasic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one monthAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one monthAt least two years’ experience in cardiovascular procedural nursing (Invasive Cardiovascular Lab) or intensive care nursing within the last 5 years.

Preferred: Current experience in a coronary ICU and Moderate Sedation techniques (Note: must establish competency in moderate sedation within orientation period.)

•CCRN certification, CMC certification, CSC certification, and/or RCIS certification preferred
