Registered Nurse - Advanced Orthopedic and Spine Program Coordinator - Hybrid
Part time - 24 hours a week Days - 8 hour shifts Hybrid No weekends or holidays required **General Summary** Serves as the day-to-day lead of the WellSpan Surgery and Rehabilitation Hospital Advanced Ortho/Spine Program and supervises the development, implementation and organization of the overall program. Coordinates the efforts between surgeons, Hospital administration, nursing leadership and staff while tracking the progress of the program and identifying areas that require attention. Is responsible for all program management, report generation and review, process improvement, patient satisfaction and administrative activities of the program. Supervises and coordinates all aspects of treatment, evaluation, support services and education for patients. **Duties and Responsibilities** **Essential Functions:** + Initiates the clinical program project plans as outlined and establishes and maintains program completion schedules. + Collaborates in the development and coordination of the long-range strategic plan for the DNV-GL Advanced Ortho/Spine Program. + Remains proficient in DNV regulatory requirements of the overall program. + Develops, maintains, and updates all required documentation for DNV-GL disease-specific certification including required agreements with ancillary services, logbooks, licensure/board certifications, performance improvement activities written care protocols, continuing education credits for physicians and nurses on staff and organizational charts. Ensures that the System adheres to the DNV-GL standards and is prepared for site visits. + Provides support to the sub-specialty committees in agenda development, outcomes data and analysis, educational requirement tracking, etc. + Participates in interdisciplinary patient rounds in all aspects of the patient care continuum. + Reinforces and assesses pre- and post-operative instructions programmatically and provides further education as appropriate. + Responsible for PI and other metrics to determine effectiveness with all levels of care providers to optimize the patient care experience. Compiles and analyses quantitative and qualitative data, including benchmark data, and shares outcomes data and analysis according to the Quality Management System Manual and Hospital committee structure of escalation and support. + In collaboration with sub-specialty committee leads, evaluates patient quality outcomes and develops evidence-based quality program initiatives to improve patient clinical outcomes to ensures delivery of quality services for patients. + Collaborates with research team in clinical trials enrollment and data collection as applicable. + Maintains a thorough knowledge and understanding of evidence based/best practice. + Revises and monitors educational materials to insure that they are coordinated, understandable and meet the program standards. + Protects patient confidentiality by promoting professional practices. **Common Expectations:** + Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required. + Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the assigned patient population.
